The return of the Skipton Tri!

After three years away, one of the most popular pool-based triathlons in England is back for 2024.

A great event for first timers and more competitive triathletes. It consists of a pool swim (400m), a picturesque bike route (22km) and an undulating run (5km) around Aireville Park.

Non-BTF members will also need to buy a British Triathlon race pass for £8 before race day. More information here.

£75 Team RELAY

No entry on the day. Entrants must be aged 17 years or over on 31/12/2024.

ROUTE

SWIM (400M)

Start with a 400m swim in Craven Leisure Pool. Emerging from the swim, you head to transition in front of the Leisure Centre.

BIKE (22K)

From here, the bike section takes a rural route along the A59 to West Marton before turning towards the A56 and Thornton-in-Craven. From here the route heads back to Skipton along the A59.

RUN (5K)

The run is 2 laps around Aireville Park.

The finish is back in front of Craven Leisure.

GOODIES AND PRIZES

All finishers will get a Stanforth Butchers pork pie (or vegan alternative), a jar of chutney from Mercer's of Yorkshire, a micro towel and a medal!

Prizes will be awarded to male and female 1st, 2nd and 3rd, plus 1st male and female vets 40+, 50+ and 60+

TIMETABLE (PROVISIONAL)

07:45 - Registration opens. Registration will remain open until 12:00.

07:45 - Transition opens  

09:00 - First Swim Wave

12:30 - Last swim wave

Competitors must be poolside 15 minutes before their start time for their race briefing.

PARKING​

Free parking is available for all competitors at Auction Mart, which is a 10 minute walk from the transition area and race registration at Craven Leisure Centre.
